Document imaging: the POD and BOL attached to the load.

Document imaging in Fleet Manager attaches the paperwork to the record it belongs to: the BOL and the signed POD to the order, licenses and permits to the driver and the truck, invoices to the ledger entry. Scan at the desk, upload from your computer or cloud storage, or capture from the TransPlus Connect app in the cab, and the document is searchable by the names your office uses. When the POD is on the order, the invoice goes out with it attached.

Document imaging is included in every Fleet Manager plan, Lite included. See Pricing.

What document imaging changes for billing and dispatch.

Document imaging closes the gap between the driver and the office. Drivers send paperwork from the cab and get paid sooner, dispatch does not search a filing cabinet to settle a delivery dispute, and billing sees which orders have a POD and can be invoiced today. Fewer documents go missing, and the ones that matter are a click from the order.

SM Freight, a 70-truck temperature-controlled carrier, cut a two-week invoicing cycle to 48 hours after moving to TransPlus, and credits document imaging with removing much of the manual invoicing. Read the SM Freight story.

What changes for the office with document imaging.

Flexible document uploading

Easily add files into your system by uploading documents locally from your computer or directly from cloud storage.

Contextual data association

Stay organized by saving documents in your TMS and linking them to specific orders, customers, or ledger entries for easier tracking.

Compliance and asset documentation

Maintain safety standards and keep your fleet on the road by associating driver licenses, vehicle permits, and inspection records directly with the specific driver profiles and trucks in your TMS.

Instant POD linking

Speed up billing by associating signed POD documents with their specific orders, making sure proof of delivery is always a click away.

Centralized document library

Maintain a library of documents within your TMS that makes it easy and convenient to access historical data for audits or inquiries.

Documents generated from the order

Invoices, bills of lading and proof of delivery forms are generated from the order data and saved against it, so nothing is typed twice.

How document imaging works in TransPlus TMS.

Document imaging is built and maintained by TransPlus, not licensed from a third party, so there is no integration list here. Files come in from a desk scanner, from your computer or cloud storage, or from the driver's phone through the TransPlus Connect app, and every document is searchable by the names your office gives it. Document imaging is included in every Fleet Manager plan, Lite included.
