From the geofence to the trip without a check call.

Every geocoded stop on the trip gets a geofence. When the truck crosses it, the time lands on the trip in Fleet Manager.

The truck arrives.
Your ELD reports the truck’s position as it crosses the geofence around the stop.
The stop is recorded.
Arrival and departure times land on the trip in Fleet Manager, with no call to the driver.
The driver follows your form.
On Samsara and ISAAC, each pickup, delivery, hook, drop or border crossing brings up the instructions you set for it.
The POD reaches billing.
On Samsara and ISAAC, the signed POD comes back through the workflow and lands on the order, ready to go out with the invoice.

How does Telematics Workflow know the truck arrived?

Each stop location has a geofence around it. When your ELD reports the truck crossing it, Fleet Manager records the arrival, and it records the departure when the truck leaves. Each location needs to be geocoded so the geofence sits in the right place.

Which ELD providers work with Telematics Workflow?

Samsara, ISAAC, Motive, Omnitracs and PeopleNet. All five push GPS position and stop times from the geofence into Fleet Manager. Custom stop forms and document return work with Samsara and ISAAC.

Can drivers get instructions for each stop?

Yes, with Samsara or ISAAC. You set a form for each event type, such as pickup, delivery, hook, drop or border crossing, and the driver sees your instructions on the device at that stop.

Do PODs come back through the workflow?

Yes, with Samsara or ISAAC. The driver sends the signed POD through the workflow at delivery, and it lands on the order in Fleet Manager, ready to go out with the invoice.

How is Telematics Workflow different from the Telematics module?

The Telematics module puts truck positions, ETAs and driver messages on the trip board, and it is included in every Fleet Manager plan. Telematics Workflow adds stop times from the geofence and, on Samsara and ISAAC, stop forms and document return.
