Jake McGuire

Jake McGuire is Chief Executive Officer of TransPlus, and has spent two decades scaling SaaS companies, with most of that time in transportation technology. Before TransPlus, he was Chief Revenue Officer of BigRoad, the electronic logging and hours-of-service platform, where he owned sales, marketing, onboarding, and customer support as the company grew recurring revenue 600% to eight figures, expanded the team from 5 to more than 60, and earned Frost & Sullivan's 2017 North American ELD Customer Value Leadership Award. He was a lead participant in the process that saw BigRoad acquired by Fleet Complete in 2017.

His software career started at NetSuite in 2004 as one of its first employees in Canada, during the run that took the company from $15 million to $150 million in revenue and a NYSE IPO. Since then he has held senior roles at five software companies, four of which were acquired, and has served on boards including a company that exited to Affirm.

Jake became CEO of TransPlus in January 2021, after the company joined Banyan Software. Since then TransPlus has moved to a cloud-hosted platform, published its pricing for fleets of every size, and added integrations with the tools carriers already run.

His leadership philosophy is simple: give people the tools to succeed, set the bar high, and make sure everyone knows what success looks like. He holds his own company to the same standard he sells to customers: fewer hours of manual work, and more money back in their pockets.

Away from work, Jake is an avid golfer in the summer, a snowboarder once the snow hits, and happiest spending time with his family and his dog.
