TMS software with 1:1 live technical support on every plan.
TransPlus has built TMS software for trucking companies and freight brokers across North America since 1995. Take the order, dispatch the load, track it, bill the customer, and build driver pay and carrier payables in one system, then send it all to your accounting software. Plans start at $350 a month for one user, billed quarterly.

Four things to check with any TMS software provider.
Where TransPlus stands on each.
Works with your ELD
TransPlus connects to Samsara, ISAAC, Motive, Geotab, PeopleNet, Omnitracs and FleetHunt. Truck positions and ELD data come in from the units already in your trucks, on every Fleet Manager plan. Telematics Workflow, which records arrival and departure at each stop from the truck's GPS, is a paid add-on available on the Enterprise plan.
Going live
Onboarding takes 30 to 90 days depending on fleet size and data migration, and most Fleet Manager customers are live within 60 days, with a named onboarding specialist.
Support that answers
1:1 live technical support on every plan, 7am to 6pm ET, Monday to Friday, with emergency after-hours support.
Reports from any board
Turn any board into a report and export it. On Standard and Enterprise, profitability reports show which customers and lanes make money.

One order for the entire process.
Whether a load arrives as an EDI 204 or as an email, it becomes one order in TransPlus. A 204 creates the order on its own. Emailed details can be keyed in once, or the automated order entry module can build the order from a PDF, a watched folder or a forwarded email. From there the trip, the contract and the invoice all hang off that one order, so nothing is re-entered. EDI and automated order entry are add-on modules, and our in-house EDI team sets up each EDI connection.

The order becomes a trip, or a contract with an outside carrier.
Whether your own driver hauls the load or an outside carrier does, you dispatch it from one system. For your own fleet, assign the driver, the truck and the trailer on the Trip Board and the trip is set. For an outside carrier, build and send the contract from the Contract Board. Plans change, so you can move an order from a trip to a contract, or back again, without re-entering any of the details. At CMW Express, productivity in dispatch, billing and payroll went up 30 percent.
Truck positions come in from your ELD, so you make fewer check calls.
The board shows where the truck and the load are, on a local run or a cross-border trip. With the Trailer Tracking add-on, trailer positions show there too.

One order builds the invoice, the driver's settlement and the carrier's payable.
When a load is delivered, TransPlus builds the customer invoice, the driver's settlement and the carrier's payable from the same order. The POD can come from the TransPlus Connect driver app, from Samsara or ISAAC through Telematics Workflow, or be attached by your team. You choose which documents go out with each customer's invoice, and TransPlus warns you if one is missing. Invoices and payables transfer to your accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Sage, and driver settlements can go to payroll through ADP.
Which TransPlus product you need depends on whether you run trucks.
Fleet Manager
For fleets that run their own trucks, including brokered loads: dispatch, driver pay, invoicing and reporting, with IFTA on the Enterprise plan. Three plans, starting at $350, $500 and $650 a month for one user.
Logistics Manager
For freight brokers and 3PLs with no trucks of their own: rating and quoting, order entry, carrier search and contracting, rate history, carrier payables, and the margin on every load. Starting at $500 a month for one user.
TransPlus is your EDI expert.
Many shippers now make EDI a condition of doing business: load tenders (204), your yes or no (990), status updates (214), invoices (210), and an acknowledgment that each one arrived (997). If nobody in your office has set up EDI before, that's fine. Our in-house EDI team builds the connection with each customer, maps the data into your orders, tests it and manages it for you. You confirm how your data should map, and we handle the rest. EDI is an add-on module with a one-time set-up fee per connection, a module fee and a fee per transaction.
Whichever network your customer uses.
We build the EDI connection with whichever trading partner or network your customer requires, not just the ones we already support.
Our in-house team runs the set-up.
The TransPlus EDI team works with your customer, their IT staff and the EDI network, and runs the set-up from kickoff through certification.
We keep it running.
We monitor the connection after you go live and fix what breaks, so missed status updates or rejected invoices don't cost you the account.
Connects to the tools you already run.
Keep the accounting and ELD tools you trust. TransPlus connects to them.
A TMS is the software a carrier or freight brokerage runs its office on: dispatch, driver assignment, invoicing, and the paperwork on every load. Past a handful of trucks, the hours lost re-keying loads and chasing paperwork are what a TMS gives back. Our guide to what a transportation management system is covers how one works, step by step.
A TMS can reduce costs in three places. Loads are entered once, so the invoice and the driver's pay are built from the same order instead of being re-keyed. Truck positions come in from your ELD, so you make fewer check calls. On Standard and Enterprise, profitability reports show which customers and lanes make money, so you can decide what to drop.
Check four things with every TMS software provider, and get each in writing. Price and what it covers: Fleet Manager plans start at $350 a month for one user and include document imaging, ELD integration and accounting integration such as QuickBooks. Additional users, add-on modules and the one-time onboarding fee are priced separately. Time to go live: onboarding takes 30 to 90 days depending on fleet size and data migration, and most Fleet Manager customers are live within 60 days, with a named onboarding specialist. Support: 1:1 live technical support on every plan, 7am to 6pm ET, Monday to Friday, with emergency after-hours support. Fit with what you run: 66 integrations and an in-house EDI team.
Onboarding takes 30 to 90 days depending on fleet size and data migration, and most Fleet Manager customers are live within 60 days, with a named onboarding specialist. Customers, drivers, carriers, trucks and trailers come over through TransPlus templates, with the import guided by a person rather than a ticket queue.
TransPlus Fleet Manager starts at $350 per month for Lite, $500 for Standard and $650 for Enterprise, and Logistics Manager starts at $500 per month, each for one user. Additional user licenses are quoted for the number of users you need, and because licenses are concurrent, you pay only for the people using TransPlus at the same time. Lite allows up to 3 concurrent users, Standard up to 6, and Enterprise has no cap. Every plan is an annual contract billed quarterly, in CAD or USD depending on where your business operates. Quoted separately: TransPlus Connect driver-app seats, PC Miler, add-on modules such as EDI and ACE/ACI e-manifests, EDI setup, module and per-transaction fees, and the onboarding fee. IFTA reporting is included in the Enterprise plan only.
In a TMS, look for dispatch and load management, integrations with your ELD and accounting software, a driver app, automated billing and invoicing, and reporting on profitability and fuel costs. The right feature set depends on whether you run your own trucks, broker loads, or both. In TransPlus, the EDI, customs, telematics and accounting modules all work from the same load, entered once. On any demo, count the clicks from rate confirmation to invoice and ask what the driver app does when the driver has no signal at the dock.
TransPlus is not for you in two cases. If you need IFTA reporting on the Lite or Standard plan: it is included in Enterprise only. If you run one or two trucks and are not ready for an annual contract billed quarterly: a TMS is probably not worth it yet.
